Graham here with an art post about backgrounds and colour palettes. It's quite short, but rather colourful (not unlike myself).
Inspired by lurid old science fiction magazines, Technicolor movies and Fauvist painting, Rocket Rumble's Universe is a bright and colourful place. We're still in the early phase of background design, but I thought I'd share some initial concepts and ideas. First, some reference images:

After working in Photoshop, I started concepting directly in Unity. The resulting environment looked like it would make quite a nice desktop background, so I took a high res frame-grab, slapped a RR logo on it, and this is the result:
